Some Facts About Me
I was born in 1962 in Carlisle, the son of a doctor.
I was educated at Glenalmond College before reading Philosophy and Law at Selwyn College, Cambridge from 1982-1985.
I started my publishing business at the end of my first year at Cambridge.
I was elected to Cambridge City Council in 1998, and served there until 2004.
I stood for Parliament in Cambridge in 2001 before moving to Beverley in 2004.
I was first elected as Beverley and Holderness's Member of Parliament in 2005.
